How the vacation planner works, step by step
First, add your team members and pick your Bundesland, so the public holidays are filled in automatically. Then set each person's annual leave entitlement and start entering requests. Every approved absence appears in a shared team calendar, and any overlap with a colleague is highlighted immediately. The planner keeps a running balance per person: days taken, days planned, days left. No formulas to maintain, no version chaos, and everyone works from the same up-to-date view.
A worked example: five people, one summer
Imagine a five-person agency in Bavaria. Anna requests two weeks in July, Ben wants the same period, and Carla is already off for a week in August. In the planner you see at once that Anna and Ben overlap by four working days, and that the Assumption Day holiday in August doesn't count against Carla's entitlement. Instead of negotiating in an email thread, you shift Ben's second week by a few days, approve everything, and the remaining balances update themselves. The whole conversation takes ten minutes.
