Inventory and AfA depreciation in one register

Pistacio is inventory and depreciation software that keeps every asset your company owns in one register and calculates the AfA, the German straight-line depreciation, per item automatically. Purchase dates, receipts, insurance policies and contracts live on the asset itself, and the full asset register exports for your tax advisor in one click. You always know what you own, what it cost and what it is still worth.

01

Every asset in one register

Laptops, machinery, vehicles, office furniture: in Pistacio every asset lands in one central register instead of being scattered across spreadsheets and folders. You structure your inventory in freely defined categories, from office equipment to tools to your fleet, and see at a glance what exists, who it is assigned to and what shape the register is in. New purchases take a minute to add, changes stay traceable, and at year-end there is nothing left to hunt down and piece together from three different places.

02

AfA depreciation calculated per asset

For every asset you record the purchase date, value and useful life, the Nutzungsdauer, and Pistacio calculates the straight-line AfA automatically, showing the residual value and the annual depreciation. No AfA tables to maintain, no percentages to recompute: when something about the item changes, the system recalculates with it. You can see at any time which depreciation falls due in the current year and when an asset is fully written off, which is the basis for planning and for the numbers you pass on.

03

Purchase dates and documents on the asset

Every asset in Pistacio carries its own file: purchase date, price, supplier and the matching receipts are stored directly on the item. The invoice for the laptop, the purchase contract for the van, the warranty papers for the machine, everything sits where it belongs instead of in inboxes. When the tax office or your tax advisor asks for proof, you open the asset and have it all together. That saves the searching and turns the register into a source you can rely on.

04

Insurance and contracts right next to it

Inventory is more than the purchase price: vehicles have insurance policies, equipment has maintenance agreements, machines have leases. In Pistacio, insurance and contracts sit right next to the asset they belong to, with terms, renewal dates and the documents attached. Expiry dates do not get lost in a calendar; they stand in the context of the item itself. When a policy runs out or a contract needs renewing, you see it in time instead of noticing on the due date.

05

One-click export for your tax advisor

At year-end your tax advisor does not want screenshots, they want clean data. Pistacio exports your asset register with purchase values, useful lives and calculated AfA as a file that can be processed directly. Your tax advisor receives complete, consistent numbers, you get fewer follow-up questions, and the handoff takes minutes instead of days. Because receipts and documents hang on the asset, any proof that gets requested afterwards can be supplied just as quickly.
